The Computer Operator monitors and regulates the Operating System and the production schedule. In addition, the Computer Operator notifies the responsible IT staff member when jobs end abnormally.=================== Requirements: High School diploma required, technical certificates or Associate Degree preferred. Minimum of 6 months experience in Computer Operations and a minimum of 3 months experience in Mainframe Operations required. Must have completed training courses in JCL: Fundamentals, JCL: Data Sets, JCL: Specifying Job Info, MVS: Fundamentals, MVS: Basic Operations, CICS: Fundamentals or equivalent. Knowledge of the following software is an advantage: TSO, SDFS, TWS or other job scheduling software. Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions with ability to update and add content to written instructions. Must possess PC Literacy and knowledge of Office applications (email, word processing, file navigation).
