The Paper Magic Group, Inc., a leader in the marketing & design of seasonal consumer products, has an immediate opening in the Moosic office for a Senior Cost Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in analyzing data on material, labor and overhead costs to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of production and sourcing in a standard cost environment. This includes monthly gross profit and inventory variance analysis, including commentary on key changes versus budget and prior year, ongoing review and analysis of overhead and warehousing absorption, preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, & preparation and analysis of key inventory budgeting items. The individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, and work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five (5) years experience in costing and accounting. Qualified candidates must have experience with inventory variance analysis and the ability to document and comment on key changes. Advanced skills in Microsoft Access, Excel, and large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively communicate are essential.
