The primary role of the Application Programmer Analyst III is to effectively support our Business units by maintaining or developing moderately complex applications that automate or enhance business function for our end-users. This position will ensure IT support via applications and consultation to our business community, at a performance level meeting or exceeding our client’s expectations. All application programmer personnel will utilize available state-of-art system resources, and a standard System Development Life Cycle methodology for application development. Provides support and direction to junior programmers, and serves as a lead technical analyst........................ Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field. Proficient keyboarding/typing skills and experience utilizing most common products found in MS product suite, such as Word and Excel. Six years of Mainframe programming experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2 and JCL, or six years of PC programming experience in .Net, and T-SQL. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to understand and participate in database design on mainframe or server, such as: VSAM, DB2, IMS, SQL. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with peers and customer community and act as an IT Rep. and Project Lead for moderate to complex assignments. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to manage tasks across multiple platforms. Ability to develop functional and programming specifications for moderate to complex level system enhancements with the ability to provide direction to junior programmers....................
